Dr. Gonzalez is a Harvard trained Spine Specialist that currently serves as the Managing Physician of Aventura Spine.

 

Prior to founding Aventura Spine, Dr. Gonzalez worked as a Clinical Director of the University of Massachusetts. Before that, he worked at the prestigious Massachusetts General Hospital where he became a Clinical Fellow in Pain Management.  

 

Dr. Gonzalez uses a multi-disciplinary approach and specializes in hard-to-treat conditions of the spine, joints and back. He has taught seminars, trainings and full medical courses at various medical institutions in North America, Spain, Venezuela, Colombia, Bolivia, Mexico and at other Latin American schools.  

 

Dr. Gonzalez is a frequent medical correspondent for various news channels including CNN and Local 10 Miami. He was recognized as one of Miami's Best Doctors for 2013, Miami's Who's Who for 2012 and at numerous other peer review platforms. He was elected to serve as the president of the American Academy of Pain Management for fiscal year 2014.  

 

Dr. Gonzalez established the American Spine and Pain Foundations, and the Partners Against Pain of America, which both are non-profit foundations that seek to provide indigents with access to top notch health specialists for their hard to treat spine or pain related issues. 

 

Dr. Gonzalez is happily married and father of two kids.
